Motorised blinds are simply electric blinds. They are like your standard blinds except they are operated by remote control or app. Without leaving your seat, you have control of your shades or shutters. You can rotate slats and move your shades up or down to control light and privacy. They provide and increased ease of use, especially for hard-to reach or large windows, and effortless operation of numerous shades.

Motorised shades can be mains-powered or battery-powered. We can even motorise some of your existing shades. There are a large selection of controls including wall switches, timers, sensors, remote controls and app control.

Battery Powered
There are two types of battery powered motors – one with a built-in battery and one with external batteries. With both solutions, the batteries are rechargeable using a wall plug-in charger.
With external battery motors, you can add a solar panel which charges the batteries for you. Good solar exposure is required.

Electric Powered
If you have the option to include wired-in technology, mains powered motors are the right solution. They are quieter motors, without the hassle of recharging. Your blinds are connected directly to a 220V power source with individual isolation switches.
- No need to recharge or replace batteries.
- Ideal for larger or heavier shades.
- Suitable for new builds.
NB: clients need to provide surge protection.

Automatically operate your shades based on the weather. You can program your shades to open or close when it gets warm or cool, when it starts or stops raining, or when it gets windy or the wind calms. They are wireless and easily paired with motorised shades.
Home Automation Systems.
Your shades can be integrated seamlessly with a range of third party automation systems including Amazon’s Alexa, Control 4, Creston, Savant, IFTT services and more. Somfy’s Connexoon device allows mobile app control without third-party automation systems.
Controls
There are a range of wall controls and remote controls. Each control comes with a number of channels which can be used to operate individual shades or groups of shades simultaneously. Some controls offer more functionality to set scenarios to suit your automation needs.
Wall
These are wireless wall mount controls with a single channel. There are different coloured frames available.
REMOTE
These are single and multi-channel hand-held remote controls. They are available in different colours and also come with a wall hanging pin.
MODULIS
These are single and multi-channel hand-held remote controls. Their scroll wheels allow for easy and precise slat adjustment of venetian, vertical, vision and visage blinds.
CHRONIS
This is a multi-channel hand-held remote control. It allows timer functions with 6 programmable time slots daily. It can be integrated with a solar sensor.
